3 days in Berkely

This place is full of people. They seem confused about what they are wanting out of life.

Shop till you drop just isn't cutting it.

There is a lot of consciousness here... it grows between the cracks in the sidewalks like dandelions. somehow people can make a living selling tapestries rocks and henna and metaphysical books, but they still must exist within the paradigm of capitalism....

my question is how can consciousness truly blossom in an urban setting, the concrete jungle where over 50% of humanity lives, where it is almost impossible to have an experience that is not mediated by other human beings (you can see a rock or flower in a store.. you can see a tree from another continent that gets manicured by powertools)?

I have been lucky (in my own mind) to have escaped urban life, but as i tune in to the pulse of the planet it seems that urban life is something that cannot be ignored by those who care about the world and life and people, for there is simply too much of it.




The city has to be reinvented, capitalism has to be rethought.

So even if i do end up going into the peace corps, i think i will eventually be led back to the city, to help with urban permaculture, or some kind of sustainability. there are just too many people for everyone to go 'back to nature'. There simply isn't enough 'nature' left. Plus people would destroy it and probably be unhappy there.

So... how do we make our human hive a nice place to be?

Social equality,
no fossil fuels,
pedestrian/bicycle centered infrastructure,
interfaith worship,
parks,
green buildings,
passive heating/cooling,
green roofs,
urban gardens,
bikelane highways

sounds better than what we have today... oh, and more domes, hexagons, sacred geometry and building design that takes the trip of the sun into account (and maybe the moon, why not?) We could ask the other social animals how they do it. How do the bees get along so well without homelessness and pollution?


i feel that i would go crazy if i cant at least know that the redwood forest or a beautiful cliffy norcal beach is a short trip away. if i cant see the inherent beauty that lives in a rock or a creek or smell the sweet forest and see funny beetles and find some berries to munch,.. the simple experience of being outside is what makes life worth living to me. the other stuff is cool, music, djing, cooking, making love, eating cactus, etc but it pales by comparison of being in a riverbed surrounded by a mountain forest for example... the outdoors is what ties it all together, what puts it all into context. it gives me a reason to be a human being.

maybe if i write about it eloquently enough, i wont actually be the person who has to go to the city and make these changes. lol

Dreams - letter to a friend

There have been many dreams passing through my sleep lately, i thought you may be interested in hearing about the nature of them. These are dreams that cannot be anything other than a connecting with alternate 3-d lives, sometimes with a crazy 4-d fairy land bridge between them, and sometimes with a 5-d bridge ( ex- during a dream of another 'life' looking in the mirror and seeing that reality dissolve into a vision of my pure essence, which looks similar to this body but made of crystal blue light, and then waking up and feeling that essence energy in this body, to start the day). some of the lives are mundane, some i am not human, some i am exploring interstellar space, some are harsh, some magical ( like flying through impossible purple clouds as some kind of cyrstal liquid excstatic bird) , and in many i seem to know some of the same people as 'this' life, in new and interesting ways.

There are particular lives that I am interested in- one in which I lived underground in a cave with beings who were highly evolved beings, and the big flood that we all knew was coming happened, and i was one of the few who risked going to the surface with the technology/fast-paced people because of a desire to help. I think we have correctly identified this as the end of lemuria and atlantis...
well i have had this recent dream of being on the surface, seeing pyramids and greek looking columns emerging from the surface of the water, and somehow with my consciousness watching/making the sun go up and down and back and forth across the horizon at varying speeds in order to observe the effect that it had on the light reflecting off of a partially submerged pyramid. there were little doorways into the pyramid but i chose not to physically enter, and there was somebody with me on the sand. I want to connect more with that because it seems there is much important knowledge to be gained, particularly in the ancient wisdom of the earth. the native american study class i am taking is connecting to this because it is said that they are the holders of the ancient ways. when i go backpacking i feel this energy so strongly, i want it to permeate everything in life without exception.

So as i ground myself and open my chakras, i feel i am releasing that atlantean capability for cruelty and fear, thank god. Chakras are opening and i feel i am able to communicate with my guides, one of which i was told is archangel Michael, and through this and other pathways, i feel increasingly safe and connected to the earth, even when envisioning other dimensions. woo * sigh of relief*




So I created a song that is intended to be sort of a "go forth into the void and see that it is teeming with life" type journey through the fourth dimension meditation. I was wondering if you had any thing to say about it. It seems like people are generally into hearing the music I am creating, at least in this little hippie town.

Anyway, whoever reads this- thank you for being a somebody i can share these experiences with; the act of writing to another person who can understand the wavelength i am on is very important and healing, a kind of cosmic validation- and i hope my stories can be of benefit to you as well. Do i have a fear of sharing my light?

Is it because i feel that people who i know have not accepted, or been able to accept, the things i am saying when i speak from higher knowledge.
it has to do with living from the ego more from the soul. like, my ego wants to share soul knowledge but, as ego is dismayed and hurt and closed up when it feels rejected.
if i can share soul knowledge FROM soul, if i can have the courage to be my true SELF around others then i will be able to share my true self without fear or vulnerability.

i hereby release all fears of sharing my light with those around me.
i will find an outlet, so i'm not 'revving in neutral' this blog is a good start. i should write more, adn then possibly i could publish one day, or at least have a personal record and feel more confiddent in expressing my self in these ways.

1 red/earth/the root/the rocks/crystals/survivalism/smell/straight line (dna)/alchemy

3 animal/science/control/3-d/fire/eyes/yellow
4 spirits/time/change/love/heart/green/air/ancestors/power animals/shamanism

6 universal laws (karma, magnetism)/mind/purple/bridging across realities/web of connections/synapse
7 the absolute/superconscious/supramental/ultimate connection/white/the meta-timeline going towards these things/divination

perhaps the universal self similarity that is reflected in this spectrum can be applied to brainwave states, by chromatic translation, as the various colors of the visible spectrum can be harmonically transposed to sound octaves, as it all exists on a logarythmic spectrum of vibrational energy... something for another post. (by the way, i think gamma waves are far more important than people realize!!)


while they may not have a definite thoughtform relationship beyond themselves, there seems to be a distinct feeling for each level...
my former yoga teacher used to say that each chakra is a portal, perhaps to these 'realms' that are best understood intuitively/experientially/spiritually.

i once talked to this trippy engineer that was getting close to challenging the second law of thermodynamics via a hyrdrodynamic spiral which water could flow through with close to zero friction. he said the universe we live in is based on the number seven. later that night he walked up to me in a crowd and poked my back at this accupressure point that make my whole world tingle and the back pain i was experiencing dissapeared.



there is so much to this reality we share. definitely an exciting time to be alive

I think that we have the power to create our own future reality. Its probably inevitable that this country will see large changes in its future, given that the whole 'world game' is changing so fast with factors like population, climate change, and technological expansion, resource depletion, economic instability. I forsee concepts like the nation-state perhaps becoming secondary to a global effort to deal with worldwide obstacles posed by our rising oceans and possible water shortages. I believe things can and will get better for humanity, but that it may take a few shocks along the way to motivate people to work towards creating an improved planetary situation. The good news is we have the resources technology and knowhow to provide for all human beings at unprecedented quality of life (people don't have to starve). The trick is to make it obvious to people that it would be possible and worthwhile, and the best use of our time.

The news generally doesn't report the positive possibilities, the coalitions of all kinds of people working towards solutions, people coming together and awakening to a more compassionate state of being. The news usually only report things that will appeal to peoples basic fears in order to keep them glued to the TV set and keep those advertising dollars coming in... So its not an accurate picture they paint, thankfully.

Before the nation-state and the empire (like USSR, China, USA, Germany) as a way of life, there was the city-state (places like Rome, Troy, Alexandria and Athens as governing bodies) and before that the paradigm was villages and regional tribes, so it appears that history is aggregating humans into ever larger groups as time goes on. The next step in the progression would logically go beyond the nation state, into some kind of globally conscious mode of operation. I see no reason why we would stay 'stuck' in the 'competitive nation-state' mode after a history of such consistent development, or why humans would argue indefinitely over an earthly abundance that we can all partake of. The coming future will be outside of the current paradigm, and much of the language we currently use to describe it!

A good book ive beenreading is called 'worldchanging, a users guide to the 21st century' and it is basically and encyclopedia of ways that people are working to improve buildings, design, politics, and planning to create a better global future for humankind. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to participate in creating a more hopeful planet.

This point in time represents a freeze frame of a continual process in which change is accelerating so fast that even science fiction writers are having trouble 'seeing around the bend' or thinking of new stuff that isnt already happening or being developed. Interestingly enough, Einstiens law of special relativity predicts that as an observer approaches the speed of light, the past and future begin to meld together into an infinite moment that encompasses past present and future. In addition, it is generally recognized that computational speed today is approaching the limits imposed by the speed of light. These things seem related to me!

My friend is in an art class, and his teacher instructed the class to draw the 'negative space' of an object, ie the non-object around the object, drawing the space around the chair- the outline of the shape being the same outline as if they were to draw the chair itself.

Instead of thinking about what I don't want, I thought maybe I should think about what I do want, and set that as the new Template. Here goes:

I want to feel comfortable in my skin
I want to feel sensual love where two beings connect in a spiritual emotional physical psychological way, hearts beating as one, two bodies sharing an electric field of blissful compassion between two souls.
I want to feel motivated, but not by fear, only by the possibilities of what could be manifested.
I want to feel the connection to the source of Being in a healthful, balanced way.

I want to experience a natural state of internal balance that comes from listening to bodymind intuition.
